Compounded medications
Therapies prescribed through Elevé Health Co. may be compounded by a 503A US compounding pharmacy. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded preparations for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing quality before they are dispensed. Compounded products are prepared for an individual patient pursuant to a valid prescription and are not generic equivalents of brand-name medications.
Peptide therapies
Certain peptides are prescribed off-label, meaning for a use other than one the FDA has specifically approved. Off-label prescribing is legal and common when a licensed provider judges it clinically appropriate. Long-term safety data for some peptides is limited. Products offered here are intended for prescribed human therapeutic use only and are never sold "for research use only."

Safety and side effects
GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP therapies may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and, less commonly, serious events including pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, and thyroid C-cell tumors in animal studies. Do not use if you or a family member has a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2, or if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Report side effects to your provider promptly.
